Requirements:

BS in Computer Science (Masters preferred), Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 5-10 years relevant experience

Mastery of programming in Firmware, C and C++ (Python a plus)

Experience with FPGA, various microcontrollers, and multiple compilers.

Knowledge of schematic and PCB layout
-
Experienced user of optoelectronic test equipment and components
-
Understanding of optical communications and networking standards
-
Some oversea travel required.
Firmware Engineer
Successful candidate will be a key member of a group designing and developing world class optical transceiver products. Role includes development, design, implement, debug, support and maintain firmware. Member will perform testing and debugging with circuit emulators, logic analyzers. Firmware Engineer will specify and define FW architecture. Implement and debug code and create supporting documentation.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, validate, support and maintain embedded system firmware for high speed (10G, 14G, 25G or greater) optical transceivers, or active optical cable.
Selection and evaluation of ASICs, microcontrollers and compilers for FW implementation.
Develop test and programming algorithms and code for development and product manufacturing environment.
Work closely with cross functional team and vendors to design reliable, manufacturable, low cost and high yield products.
